Dr. Cossío is professor of organic chemistry at the University of the Basque Country. He did several post-docs at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Bordeaux. He has more than 130 publications and patents in organic, medicinal and theoretical chemistry. His group was selected in 2007 as one of the most productive groups in the faculty of chemistry at the University of the Basque Country. His wide knowledge in organic chemistry and in computer-aided drug design provides the company with a highly valuable background in the process of drug design and development of novel synthetic methods.

Dr. Myles was co-founder and COO of Epiphany Biosciences, Inc., a clinical stage company developing products for the diagnosis and treatment of viral diseases. Prior to founding Epiphany, Dr. Myles was Executive Director, Chemistry at Kosan Biosciences where he directed research in cancer, infectious, and metabolic disease, among other areas. As Associate Director, Organic and Medicinal Chemistry, at Chiron Corporation, Dr. Myles' research focused on cancers and viral disease. Prior to Chiron, Dr. Myles was an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCLA where his laboratory developed new methods for the preparation of biologically active natural products and analogs. Dr. Myles obtained his Ph.D. from Yale University and was an NIH post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University. He is a member of the board of trustees at the Webb Schools in Claremont, CA and is the editor of the cancer section of the Annual Reports in Medicinal Chemistry.

Dr. Arrieta is a co-founder and lecturer of organic chemistry at the University of the Basque Country. She holds a PhD in organic chemistry and has published more than 60 papers. She has patents in organic, medicinal and theoretical chemistry. Dr. Arrieta is one of the fundamental members of the organic chemistry group lead by Dr. Cossío. Her wide knowledge in synthetic organic chemistry and asymmetric catalysis brings a wealth of experience to her position as scientific advisor. In addition, for the last 6 years she has split her time at the university between lectures and her role as Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, which enriches her curriculum with highly valuable skills in management and project development.

Dr. Begoña Lecea, co-founder of Ikerchem Ltd, is a permanent lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country. She holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry and has more than 50 publications in Organic, Medicinal and Computational Chemistry. Her wide knowledgde in medicinal chemistry, makes her a highly valuable advisor for Ikerchem Ltd.
