- Cycloaddition
We build up functionalized 4- 5- and 6- membered heterocycles by means of (2+2), (3+2) and (4+2) cycloaddition reactions. - Microwave-assisted organic synthesis (MAOS)
This modern technique permits the optimization of reaction rates and yields, avoiding the use of solvents and minimizing the side products and generated residues.
Both synthetic methods are convergent in nature, i.e, they allow a modular coupling of the different components or functional groups with a minimum loss in chemical yield. In addition, they constitute robust methodologies, therefore facilitating the generation of chemical-libraries with a wide sampling of functional groups.
